Laura Van Horne

Laura Van Horne was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, in 1969, and moved to Seattle in 1994. She has her master’s degree is speech language pathology, however, has always had a passion for creating art. She is primarily a self-taught artist and began painting and taking pottery classes in 1998. She has only taken a few short breaks from creating art to have her 3 children (aged 9, 7 and 4). She works primarily with acrylic and encaustic mixed media. Laura has been a part of a number of group and solo art shows over the years as, well as selling her work online.
