Photography – Dallas - Fort Worth
Lauren Lopez is an artist based in Dallas, TX. She attended Fordham University in New York for her undergraduate degree and completed her MFA at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. Lauren’s work explores themes of place and identity. She makes images that begin to express the intangible concept of experiential terrain, when places are identified by memory rather than location. She draws inspiration from the subtle beauty of personal spaces, cluttered with intimate objects whose meaning only the owner can comprehend. Beyond the surface aesthetic of a space rest rich memories which Lauren seeks to mine out and bring to light. Her primary medium is photography, with works in video as well. Lauren exhibits nationally.
