Visual Art – Seattle
I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by Washington’s mountains, beaches and lakes. Since childhood, the San Juan islands have always felt like “home.” My landscapes are inspired by summers I spent there as a child, and reflect their timeless peace and calm. Music is also an essential part of my creative process. I always listen to music when I paint, as harmonies of color, light, and texture mix together in a very intuitive way. Painting in the abstract style allows me to experiment without knowing what the final piece will look like, and often results in happy accidents.
