Art Is Life, Life Is Art

Photography – Minneapolis

Since as far back as I can remember, I have created works of art using various mediums. Such as creative writing, found-object sculpture, photography and video production. While working in photography and video production, I discovered a personal thrill in bringing to light what has been forgotten. Therefore, documenting abandoned and historic locations. Alongside the thrill of adventure, a reason I focus upon such subjects is due to their eventual disappearance. For what was once a historic church becomes a plot of townhomes. While a captivating hotel faces the wrecking ball, eventually paved over, becoming a parking lot. No matter the medium or subject, it has always given me a feeling of profound satisfaction to create works of art for others to appreciate and cherish. For art is life and life is art.
