Lindsay Lavigne

Calgarian born and raised artist, Lindsay Lavigne, is best known for her unique take on realism by using acrylic on canvas. She is a full time elementary school teacher but on the side uses her art as a creative outlet. From an early age she had been interested in drawing and over time her main focus turned into painting. Besides for art class that she had taken in high school she is self-taught. Her art has evolved over time from being colourful, realistic paintings, to primarily black and white, to adding in more bold colours to the black and white pieces. Throughout her 20's she has produced commissioned artwork for clients that have included portraiture of both people and animals.
