As I wander through this wilderness of life I'm not sure of much more than the salient truth that story is a significant trait of humanity. Something that transcends all other things. In fact, I’d argue it’s a part of our DNA. Stories make people listen, it provokes emotions even allowing people to experience things they might never have bothered to understand simply because a story carried them there. I want to help people get to whatever “there” is. That wonderful, floating feeling after a great film. The awe of a new world in an illustration and the tears of sorrow, anger and joy that are so recognizable in a character's face. I want to be one of remaining thumbprints on this wet-painting we call "life". So I urge you, as I urge myself- if it all can't be recorded, then record it yourself. And even if it doesn’t make sense- it'll make sense to you. And someone will walk along and they'll be similar enough in spirit to see something from it. And they'll smile or maybe they'll laugh. Or perhaps, most ideally, they'll be inspired enough to make more.
