Lauren Joy Slocum

I am Lauren Joy Slocum, a 25 year old human with a passion for creating. I reside in South Jersey and make a living by teaching and creating art. I currently hold a degree in both fine arts and education. I posses a wild inner child that I allow to run a majority of my life. One of the most important things it has taught me is to to just look. Look everywhere at, on, and in everything. It is the main influence in my artistic motivation. I like to consider myself an eclectic artist, working in watercolor, acrylic, pencil, print, oils, gouache, ink, etc. I\'ve never bound myself to just one medium or style. My art changes as often as my mood does (which is frequently). I try using it to my advantage, making art that can be wild and whimsical, dark and macabre, or a strange combination of both.
