LollyPopCulture was created by Carissa Ashly as a means of creating a landscape and culture through clothing, jewelry, art, and dance. She combines newly created works with modified and reimagined, up-cycled pieces. Her work strives to exist outside of any notions of linear or binary thought. She is inspired by merging vintage pieces with more current and futuristic aesthetics both visually and intellectually. With LollyPopCulture she strives to disrupt and put into question ideas of time, space, gender, and other constructs.
