Visual Art – Austin
Renee Lerma is a painter from Corpus Christi, Texas, and has been an artist for over 30 years, with painting as her main focus for the past 15. As a toddler she discovered her passion for visual art when she found her mothers’ sketchbook, its pages covered with illustrations of women and movement. Renee has studied numerous forms of art, ranging from basic drawing to painting, sculpting, photography, fashion design and even music. Following her time performing with a local band and various commission work, Renee opened the Love/Pain exhibit in 2011. Since Love/Pain’s move to Austin in 2012, the exhibit has consisted of both commission work and private buyers. Throughout her career Renee has participated solely in group exhibitions, which include several live painting performances. Renee currently is based out of Austin, Texas, and lives with her son Vicente, her biggest inspiration.
