Music – Regina
I am 24 years old, born and raised in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada. Hip-Hop/Rap is my genre, I am a performer as well as a recording artist. Independant but not alone, I do write all my own music and record 95% of it myself also. Music was deeply bred into my roots growing up, I was inspired by hip-hop originally when I first heard sounds and lyrics from the nineties. Artists such as Nas, Jay-Z, Eminem, 50-Cent, Snoop Dogg, as well as the man himself Dr.Dre and many more that I could go on to list and talk about. I quickly began to realize my writing skills in school from poems and creative writing that were infact teaching me ways to express my thoughts. When I introduced instrumentals to what I was saying that's when it blew up for me. It's been almost 10 years in the making for myself and i'm very proud to say that with music and the help and support of great local talents, Hip-Hop in Saskatchewan raised over 300 dollars for Canadian Mental Health from our show here in little Swift Current. Also, if you would like to know more about this and or have ideas for a show that would donate proceeds to mental health I am happy to be of help and make that happen.
