Visual Art – San Francisco
I am a Visual Artist based in San Francisco and am a third generation Bay Area Original. I was encouraged by my Grandfather, my biggest mentor, to create at a very early age. I have a lot of fond memories in his sign painting studio, and my first job was to clean his paint brushes.
My main interest is Print Making and love to make wood cuts, Lino printing or make metal plates. I also paint, sketch, make digital images and love photography. I am currently exploring customized athletic shoes and sportswear.
I opened Luktärt Studio full-time in 2016. It is named after a Swedish term of endearment that translates into English as “Sweet Pea”. I am very fond of the term and use it often when greeting my good friends and family.
I have been residing in San Francisco since 2002 with my son, David and my dog Willow. I am also proud to be a Veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard where I worked as a Rescue Swimmer. I also am very concerned with Veteran issues and donate a portion of my proceeds to various Veteran organizations that focus on the needs of Veterans.
