Visual Art – Seattle

Native to the Olympic Peninsula, I blend my backwoods, rural childhood with the neon vibrancy of urban nightlife in Seattle. Observations of my laughing friends and rowdy family, frequent traveling, and lust for tropical heat breathe life and sense of intimate familiarity into my characters. Though without any formal training or fine art education, I take inspiration from artists like Kit Mizeres, Stacey Rozich, and Kristen Liu-Wong. By honing my illustration and acrylic painting skills, the intent behind my work is to capture the fleeting sensation of a party snapshot, the decided self-confidence in a woman’s body, or simply the tacit warmth of an old friend.
