Mikal is a young artist living on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Her artwork is colorful, abstract, funky, and often inspired by the natural world.
As a vegan with a family of farmers, she has a particular affinity for painting bright and colorful veggies. However, she is always experimenting with new ideas, media, and techniques, and likes to focus on functional art like clocks and coasters. Her materials range from natural found objects like wood and sand to recycled objects like vintage buttons and records to your average artist materials like canvas, acrylic and oil paints, embroidery thread, and glitter.
Mikal never stays attached to one idea for too long, preferring to sell artwork featuring a particular technique or subject in limited batches before moving on to the next idea. While her artwork is often fluid and changing, it remains connected through color.
