Mariah Mae Loitz

Visual Art – Minneapolis

“They Call the Wind Mariah” is a song that entails meaning to me, other than my name. Wind travels free and constantly changes. Likewise I live a busy lifestyle as a single mom, working and pursuing my passion as an Artist. I am from a small town in Minnesota and growing up in the country, I love being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. I am a 2-Dimensional artist who loves: Painting, Drawing, Photography and Design. Art inspires me having virtually no limits. I am a dreamer with a vivid imagination and my free spirit travels within my artwork. My journey in life is my influence; that strongly includes my passion for music and dance. The materials and processes may change in my projects; however they are linked by the recurring formal problems and subject matter. I visually enjoy using contrast, like the concept of ying and yang. Rainbow is often my color choice, especially with the contrast of black and white. The subject matter varies from realism to surrealism including: decisive moments, sceneries, abstracts, fairytales, portraits and symbols. The wind within my artwork is like a song that is unique to every ear. ~My name means the wind, I am Mariah Loitz.
