Marie Jouberthe

Fashion – Miami

Marie Jouberthe’s road to becoming a fashion designer was unconventional. She received her degree in fine arts from Miami Dade College School of design. She began her fashion career in 1997, joining Art South a Not-For-Profit Organization in 2005. As a young girl, she put on fashion shows for friends and family. She loved to dress her friends up, always putting together outfits that were creative and different yet flattering and appealing. Between Marie’s love for her country and its beautiful natural landscapes, it’s as if she’s used that as her palette mixing all of its eclectic charm in her collections. She gained recognition and incredible effort paid off and she produced her own label, naming it Marie Jouberthe. She creates moderate to high-priced, beautifully cut and tailored men and women\'s wear notable for its inventive combinations of patterns and textures that empower and inspire. Among her many honors she has won exhibitions Awards, Outstanding Educator Award for Homestead center of the Arts in 2012, and the Art South’s Fashion Designer Achievement Award (2006). The conceptualization of her designs is to empower and inspire in a world of sophistication for classy and sensual women and men.
