I\'ve been designing custom and retail clothing since 2008, participated twice in Fashion Week Nola, three times in the National Uncommon Thread Wearable Art show. I received the 2011 and 2013 People\'s Choice Award and won the 2012 Alegria Fashion Show design competition. I\'m mostly self-taught, except for what my mom taught me when she bought my first sewing machine in 2001. I made pillow cases when I first started sewing so I feel a lot of pride after I finish a collection because it represents how much I was able to teach myself and build my craft.
