Matt Tolk Photography

I grew up in a small town just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. I studied Communications Media in college and have worked in Television News as a Photojournalist since graduating. I currently work for a media production company here in sunny San Diego. I have always had a strong passion for still photography and am now making the leap and really trying to put my work out there. Although my video work has been judged throughout my career, I am now finding out that I am dealing with the same nervousness and anxiety about putting my still photography work out to be judged as I had felt early on while in the news broadcast field. It is something that I try and use to help continue to fuel the fire. I have been so fortunate to have won two Emmy awards and also had the opportunity to have worked with so many talented photojournalists and reporters. I recently have sold my first two commercial prints to a art consulting company in Denver Co. which will be on display in the Downtown Marriott Hotel here in San Diego.
