Photography – Gold Coast
Hey! My name is Matt and I am a Gold Coast based Travel, Landscape and Portrait photographer. I started my working life with an apprenticeship in Cabinet Making. This was great and I liked it as I love using my hands and getting creative, although... I was not loving it and knew that I needed something to change! Around that time I was offered to be trained up and join the garage door industry. It was something completely different, but I liked the idea of meeting new people everyday and being somewhere different for each job. I did this for 3 years and I did like it, but I just felt it still was not who I really was. I was then offered a job in the mining industry, and at that point I thought I could use this to save money and really get myself ahead. So I made the move and saved my earnings and even did some travel. During my travels I had picked up a camera and started documenting my trips and encounters. Then something just 'clicked' as so to speak, there was an instant connection! I fell in love with taking photos! To be able to capture a moment and a scene, then to share it with others, and have them like it... I was hooked! I had found what put a smile on my face! So I did what any normal person would do, I quit my job and commenced a Diploma in Professional Photography so I could truly learn the art that is photography. Since then, I have not looked back! I continue to learn and evolve each day and I can really say that I love what I do!
