My name is Maria El-chaar, I am a 21 year old Canadian born visual artist. I absolutely love to learn and explore! Going through some hard experiences in life kept me away from my passion. I did not know I was considered to be "talented" until I got accepted to OCAD university. Being in my third year woke me up to a realization, that a lot of my works reflects imaginations, memories and storytelling of past traumas. I also find the joy in sharing other peoples stories to educate and inform my viewers. I'm all over the place with mediums! I never stick to one because I seriously enjoy the challenge of new materials for creation! It took me years to finally have the courage to expose bits and pieces of some of my works. My work is not to be liked by everyone and that is ok! I am humbled and grateful to all who believed in me from childhood til now. Yours sincerely , M.E
