Mecca

People call me Mecca, although you do not have to. I\'m a painter and a tattoo artist. I\'ve been tattooing professionally for three years and although I\'ve been painting my entire life, I\'ve only recently chosen to showcase this work to the public. My work focuses on warped or unrealistic imagery, bright bold colors, and the female form. Subject matter takes a back seat to composition in the sense that, I focus more on how color breaks up an image or directs you eye, over what the image is that is being depicted. I do not paint with a message or statement in mind, instead, I prefer to leave it to the viewer to infer what he or she wants.
