My name is Melinda and I am the creator of Mel Illustrations. Illustrating and cartooning living things, whether animal, plant or human has always been my passion. I pursued this passion through education, where I not only learned how to become a better artist but had to learn to have a tough skin towards those who told me that my art was not good enough. By letting my experiences and my knowledge affect my creations, I decided to share them with others as I expose them to the world. We are all surrounded by life, plant, animal, and human and I like to encapsulate those very things in 'cartoony' and/or almost childish forms, so that we can view these beings the way a child might see them. And I believe that we all have an inner child in us that likes to see things differently sometimes.
