Performing Art – Toronto

Miggy Esteban is a dancer and emerging choreographer based in Toronto, ON. He discovered dance at the age of 18 when he took his first drop in hip-hop class and eventually began to train in contemporary and other styles. He honed his skills as a performer, and began to experiment as a choreographer when he joined, and became the coordinator of McGill’s dance crew “Urban Groove Dance Project.” In Toronto, he has trained with Kalos under Jessica Ford, and is currently part of DARK Dance Company’s Varsity Contemporary team under Lineen Doung and Allison Bradley. Miggy is the artistic director of Impetus Dance Project, a new company that focuses on exploring the intentions behind movement in order to create dance for a reason. His choreography has been featured at The Space Toronto’s art parties, New Blue Festival of Emerging Dance, DARK Dance Company’s year-end production, and Fever After Dark.
