Visual Art – Washington, D.C.

Hope, love, cheer, pride, focus, energy, and renewal. These are all elements of the Cardinal’s symbolism and support my views on life. My work vaguely shows my point of view as well as others with unique yet controversial mind frames, demonstrating my own optical illusions, bending my reality to show the world an image through Life in my eyes (LIME). My work takes on social, political and cultural issues. To dig deeper into my illusions, they also represent a trapped mind frame of Depression, Arrogance, Power, Animosity, Annoyance, and Hopelessness. While also showing positive perspectives of change. Its important for me to display persons in dramatic scenery, poses, and playing with unique compositions. My purpose is to allow my subject matter to tell a diverse, obscure yet efficacious story to the world that could help people see issues and situation through others prospective. Correlating previously learned lessons, struggles and endeavors of life to the modern day to give a visual guide connecting today’s world to the next. Giving people a voice optically of all color, sizes, and background a chance to speak in a world where they may have been silenced. My work draws inspiration from some of the great Renaissance painters who painted their generation such as Leonardo, Raffaello, and Tintoretto. I also draw inspiration from more modern day naturalistic painter such as Kehinde Wiley and Jeff Koons strong display of color.
