Mitch Gobel Resin Art

Visual Art – Melbourne

So I\'m 24, I live on the Mornington Peninsula. I\'m self taught. My art is my life and my full-time occupation. I use resin for all of my work, it\'s basically like liquid glass. It looks like glass once it\'s dry, it can be transparent or opaque by mixing a range of different mediums through the resin. Recently I\'ve developed a technique that has been confirmed by a range of Art Collectors, Artists and Gallery Owners to be original to resin art, which of course is really exciting. It\'s giving my art a lot of power, value and attention. Through which I have combined my passion for Art and the Environment to start a Wildlife Conservation company, Focused on buying/ protecting areas of temperate Rainforest in East Gippsland, Victoria and also by raising awareness for the area through tourism. Aside from that, my amazing team and I are currently working on a project to raise $50,000 for the Wildlife Warriors conservation charity (Steve and Terri Irwn). We plan to raise that money through an auction we are hosting for 25 of my artworks. The auction will be held on the 7th of November this year at the Mornington Racecourse.
