Visual Art – Denver

I am a Denver based artist and visual arts teacher. My childhood dream was to be an artist. Or be an astronaut - maybe both. I define my work as abstract naturalism because my work is surrealistic, but my images are still recognizable in my use of natural forms. I enjoy working in various mediums of art from watercolor, pen and ink, color pencil, acrylic painting, collage and photography. My work tends to lean towards very high detail, with aspects of surrealism, illusion, and hidden elements in my work. My creations are very much an expression of the beauty and wonder I find in the natural world, which I communicate through the use color, light, and line. A visual diary of sorts left up to the interpretation of the viewer.
