Visual Art – San Diego

I was born and raised in San Diego but was constantly in Tijuana where most of my family lives. I was amazed from an early age at all of the graffiti and tagging that filled the streets of TJ & SD. I would catch myself staring out the windows on freeways and trying to take a mental picture of every piece. I fell in love with the colors and names of people I had never met but would see plastered on the streets. I started writing my own alias and I was hooked. Graffiti is a sickness and not an addiction, you get overwhelmed with racing anxiety and a little Paranoia. You're always thinking of new ways to do something bigger, better, and bolder. After a few run in's with the law I hung my graffiti lifestyle up and developed my skills on Canvas and pretty much anything legal. An elderly British woman that lived in my complex told me that my style should be called Contemporary Pop, so I rolled with it. I liked the way it sounded. Now I'm just pursuing my art career whether I make it big or not. I love graffiti and I won't ever stop because the streets are always talking..
