Renee Nemo Anderson

Visual Art – Baltimore

Renee Nemo Anderson is a Baltimore born artist who has been involved in community arts since their early teens. Western Highschool graduate started as a student at 901 arts in Better Waverly. Once they were of age Renee immediately started working at their local community arts center, 901 Arts, as a co-instructor for the 901 drum line part time. They’ve facilitated and produced in the Get Your Life! video project as well. As a participant of Baltimore's Gifted they have developed skills in e-commerce as well as networking the Baltimore art community. They’ve developed their own business selling wire wrapped jewelry using the knowledge they learned in Baltimore’s Gifted. Currently a member of the Community Arts Collaborative (CAC), they teach youth classes at Openworks. Renee is inspired by the African diaspora and the aesthetics linked to it. Though their focus is on education and graphic art Renee doesn’t limit what they can create.
