Visual Art – Seattle
I am born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas but now located in Seattle, Washington. I am Cantonese-American, I am queer, and I was raised to be kind to everyone with little to no exceptions to that rule. I am inspired by too many things to list them all, but I will try to narrow it down a bit. I am a 70s and 80s music junkie. I am a huge nerd and can recognize most sci-fi book and film references. I love video games. I am a fangirl of a lot of popular television series. I love botanicals, and I am a daydreamer with my head constantly in the clouds. These are the things that you will most likely see reflected in my paper art.
I started paperquilling when I was in a graduate program for my MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. While studying and working full-time, I found that I needed something to ground myself while also helping to take away the excess anxiety and stress. What started as a way for me to wind-down is now something I love to do, and moreover, share with others.
