C.Dupriest and The Neverland Experience

Columbus native and resident C.Dupriest is a young performance artist a leader. He is also the CO-Founder/Artistic Director of The Neverland Arts Collective and a freelance creative director for other artist and projects. The Neverland Arts Collective is house of independent artist and professionals commissioned to increase awareness and appreciation of art by creating together. Using art and dance to inspire value,hope,and freedom. \"We are dance in a poly-amorous relationship with art,fashion, music, literature, and activism.\" The works of C.Dupriest and \"The Neverland Experience\" utilizes creative movement and genuine human experiences with theatrical story play--a inventive approach to dance and theater. \"Our aim is to take our audiences on a entertaining and mind altering journey\" C.Dupriest also fuses film, visual, fashion and technological innovations to enhance the viewing experience of his work and choreography. \"I wanted to take the adult audience back to that nostalgic moment when they read their first comic book or saw their first music video--Now what if those moments could be excited live!\" Inspired by literature and historic pioneers of art and dance like Fosse, Warhol, Loie Fuller etc. He uses imagination and the influence of storytelling to create his version of \"superheroes and fairy tales\" with a sexy and urban twist. Influenced by traditional and classic productions (i.e Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Dangerous Liasons etc.) with a modern avant garde spin, producing innovative and creatively visual works entertaining for adults and a broader audience.
