Music – Cincinnati

Formed in the summer of 2016, New Van Goghs occupy a space in the alternative rock scene reserved for versatile guitar leads, epic vocals, and unorthodox rhythm and bass parts. Their guitarist and main songwriter, Andrew Rodriguez, began the project when he discovered singer Derek Grote's music online and decided to send him a message through a musician networking site. Together with bassist Mark Jones and drummer Jacob Bishop, they began many months of collaboration on the songs that would turn out to be the genesis of their debut album, Stargazing At Noon. Recorded at Rodriguez's Dripping Color Sound Studios based in Cincinnati, Ohio, “Stargazing” is a resurrection of '90's style rock infused with sleek, modern production qualities and catchy, thought-provoking lyrics.
