Accessories – Hobart

I am a Tasmanian artist who is based in Hobart. I love to work with sterling silver wire and gemstones to make pieces of jewellery that are fashioned on the natural formation of the gemstone, or copper to create unique wire sculptures. Wire wrapping is one of the oldest techniques for making jewellery by hand. It involves using manual techniques with no soldering or heating of the wire. I use this method, bending a number of wires around a gemstone, and then wrapping the wire around itself to finish the items. I use sterling silver and gemstones to create beautiful, unique wearable art. My collection of pendants, bracelets, and earrings combine simple, classic styles with bold design in sophisticated, timeless pieces. Drawing on a rich traditional method of wire wrapping that uses no glue or solder, my pieces are each unique, invoking a sense of classic shapes along with a contemporary overtone.
