Terre et Mer Bijoux - Nicole Bugeaud

My passion for jewelry making goes back a long way. As a child, I remember creating shell and apple seed necklaces for my mother and spending hours creating rings, bracelets and necklaces on a bead loom. Ten years ago on a trip to San Francisco, I experienced a calling to once again pursue this life-long passion of jewelry design. Encouraged by my husband, I bought books, tools, materials and started exploring and experimenting, teaching myself many techniques, using semi-precious stones, fresh water pearls, crystals, hand picked shells, sea glass and various metals. Friends and colleagues started asking to purchase my creations and I was soon hosting parties at my home, doing trunk shows, craft sales and so forth all the while continuing to work full time at a demanding career in education. Over the years, I have continued to learn new techniques, producing a wider variety of unique designs. Now semi-retired, I look forward to being inspired by my many travels and spending more time creating for the fashionable and inspiring women in my surroundings.
