Photography – Atlanta

Greetings, My name is Danielle Porterfield. I am an 24 year old women, from Detroit Michigan. Growing up in Detroit was difficult for everyone. Moving mountains, it feels like, to overcome the destinies that was laid in front of our faces. I grew up where the people become zombies in their societies. Keeping a job was a blessing and feeding their families was the mission. Poverty not at it’s worst but of the likes of a war. Destruction at our doorsteps. Defeat in our faces. They gave up on us. They gave on our city. They gave up on our people. Broken families in everyone’s homes. Survival of the fittest. Eat or be eaten. Take care of your families. Death was waiting to meet them. Jail was waiting to great them. Everyone’s miserable. Happy and all…. No daddy for you. No mommy for you. No brother, no sister nobody for you. Parentless children takes directions of the wind. Leaving the souls astray, clawing through the Abyss. I have been a photographer for 9 years and counting. I find myself reliving my perspectives in reincarnation of my yester self. My journey is to show life through art. What’s your experience?
