Ecuadorian inmigrant, have bachellor\'s degrees in journalism and archeology. Learned to appreciate the native american wisdom while studying archeology. When inmigrated to America worked in sales jobs, but nothing filled my inner creativity. After importing hand crafts from my country and being rejected in a local fair for not making my own crafts. I took a decision that changed my life: I decided to learn to make jewelry, I self educated myself with books,craft magazines,jewelry seminars and finally learnt sustainable crafting techniques, in my own country, using eco-friendly natural media like tagua nuts. I learned this, while living and working with other artisans, in rural towns.
A lot of these techniques like crocheting,weaving, and macrame are dissapearing in the modern world. I want to recover all these ancient techniques in the hand crafting of my eco-friendly jewelry designs.
