Visual Art – Boston

I am a very diverse and eclectic person, and I consider myself both an artist and graphic designer. Everyday I hope to have more time to devote to what I do. I never knew I wanted to be an artist, a long time ago I wanted to be a pro hockey player, but after a severe spinal injury that I thankfully recovered fully from, and after being forced to take a random painting class in high school; I found myself a few years later in art school. As an artist my passion revolves mostly around the idea of dualism, which is a running theme that connects my diverse collection of art. I should also explain that some of the art I create I do not consider to be either paintings nor sculpture but both at the same time. Shifting gears to graphic design, my passion is branding. Nothing fascinates me more then creating a personality for a business and how that personality relates to success and sales. I believe a good brand should be unified and unique not just within the logo but through: the store, the website, the clothes, the products, and everything about a company that could be branded should be cohesive; Unique + Unified = a good brand. Lastly, what everything comes down to for me is I believe good art is designed and that good design is art. My website is paoloelgar.com.
