Perizad

Perizad is one of Northeastern Oklahoma’s most in-demand belly dancers. She is well loved for her ability to engage her audiences and brighten celebrations. Her passion for belly dance coupled with her innate musicality make Perizad a captivating and dynamic performer sure to delight audiences. A seasoned entertainer, Perizad’s love of the performing arts started in her youth. She spent many years studying music, theater and improv. In 2007 Perizad became captivated by the grace and sensuality of belly dance and began taking classes at the Belly Dance Academy of Tulsa. Since then, she has had the opportunity to study with such masters as Mahmoud Reda of Egypt, Sabah of the Bellydance Superstars, Frank Farinaro, and John Compton. Perizad has had the opportunity to perform in both the US and Canada, and founded Elysium Belly Dance in 2013. She has also worked as an instructor at the Belly Dance Academy of Tulsa. In 2016, Perizad won 4th place in the Yaa Halla, Yall international belly dance competition in Dallas Texas and won RAWartists Tulsa's Performance Artist of the Year award in in 2012. She has been a featured dancer at Star Avenue Hookah Lounge in Tulsa and has also appeared as a guest dancer for the Aalim Belly Dance Academy in Oklahoma City. Perizad was honored to star in an opening act for the Bellydance Superstars’ Club Bellydance tour in 2011. Devoted to keeping its cultural traditions alive, Perizad continually seeks to perfect her belly dance technique. Whether at weddings, corporate events, parties, festivals or fundraisers, Perizad is sure to charm audiences of all ages.
