PETRICHOR NYC

I am a 24 year Fashion Designer from Queens, NY. For the past 8 years I have been heavily into the arts beginning with my love for graphic design and photography. I was always into fashion, especially higher end apparel & accessories. I always shad a love for street wear so about two and half years ago my friend Kwasi Pecou and I decided we wanted to combine High end and street wear clothing into one so people could have the love for both in one item. Sadly my best friend Kwasi was diagnosed with Leukemia which prevented us from proceeding with our journey. After suffering for 9 months, Kwasi passed away. For months I was in my own world, until one day I realized that Kwasi wouldn\'t want me around sulking. He would want me to finish the journey we started...and that\'s how PETRICHOR NYC came about. the word \"petrichor\" derives from Greek mythology and is the before and after smell of fresh rain. Never in my life have I encountered someone who does not love that smell, and that\'s what I want my brand to symbolize. I never want to encounter someone who does not love my designs.High-end fashion is a guilty pleasure, but I could never get enough of the street wear world. I decided to take it upon myself to be one of the few high-end street wear brands to come out of NYC.
