Marjorie Debelak

I am an exercise physiologist by education and profession, and creative by nature. I have played with photography since childhood, benefiting from my mother\'s know-how and equipment. Recently, I have been shooting for friends in the ballroom dance community. That support pushed me to take a chance on my eye, so over the past year, I have created space to pursue photography. I met people curious enough to ask what I was doing, and those exchanges were meaningful. People had no idea that I was \"trying on\" being a photographer, assuming that since I was purposefully taking photos (with a pretty nice camera), that I, in fact, was one...and why shouldn\'t it be so?
