Photography – Indianapolis

“A dream is what you want to do but still haven’t pursued.” Aesop Rock. I’m hoping to teach my children through my photography that you can live your dream. Growing up in Indianapolis, I took our city for granted. Now that I’m raising my children on the same street I grew up on, I’ve come to appreciate the beauty that’s in my own backyard. Noticing the details of each living thing and capturing it’s character, I believe, keeps it alive. We are more connected to the world around us than we know. A little peice of that knowledge reveals itself in each one of my photographs. After 8 years of photography, I’m at the point I want it to have an effect on others. I hope it sparks a passion for the environment and the people who live in it. I’ve always tried to teach my kids you have to give before you get because life is about the greater good of the whole. I think that is what made my 6 year old son say he wants to help raise money for sick kids. We brainstormed and with his sweet heart and my art we decided to donate 50% of my proceeds from every art show to the Cystic Fybrosis Foundation. This way, we can help give these children and young adults with this disease a little more time to enjoy this beautiful world we so often take for granted.
