Photos With Finesse

Suzan McEvoy is an award-winning photographer whose idea of a ‘relaxing day off’ involves leaping into the vehicle and heading out to the back roads for random drives! The journeys are more than rewarding – including watching a wild horse give birth. That was incredible! Her images primarily portray ‘Southern Alberta Scenery’, from the tiniest detail to sweeping landscape, and some of the wildlife that abounds within. Her vehicle really should come equipped with a sign that says, ‘photographer on board, makes unexpected stops’. She’s disappeared down many a dirt road, wondering what she’ll see around the next bend. Fourteen hours on the road is still considered a day trip. The camera is still in hand when she travels, so a few images from beyond the Alberta borders definitely creep in. She's an ocean girl at heart, so coastal images are not unheard of! Suzan’s images are available in a variety of formats – prints on metal, canvas, and fine art prints. This November, she’ll release her annual Southern Alberta Scenery calendar. $5 from each calendar sold goes to the Cochrane & Area Humane Society - a fabulous organization. Rescue, and animals in general, are near and dear to her family’s hearts with 2 dogs, 4 cats, a blue-tongued skink, a ball python, various geckos, dart frogs, hermit crabs, multiple fish tanks, and a horse in the menagerie!
