Katie Lynch

I am a graduate from San Jose State University. I majored in Kinesiology with a focus in Neuroscience. At SJSU I got involved in the art department and started making jewelry. This uncovered a creative side to me that I did not think that I had. Once I realized that I was capable of creativity, I knew that anyone could be creative as well, we all just need a little uncovering. Creating jewelry has helped me understand that I can do anything and it has led me to discover my drawing capabilities. I found out that I had a natural talent for drawing the human form, which is where my kinesiology degree comes in handy :). I am currently studying to become a yoga teacher and naturally, the theme of my paintings are centered around yoga poses. This allows me to reinforce my learnings through the mind, the body, and the soul. It also helps me teach through my art. I paint asanas and progression poses to help inspire and remind what yoga is all about, focusing on the beauty of who you are.
