Rachel Sheree

Visual Art – Sydney

Rachel Sheree is an Australian born, world travelled artist currently based in Sydney. Working predominantly in the fields of ceramics and sculpture, Rachel will often incorporate found or natural materials in to her artworks. Whether it be sand in the glaze of a ceramic vase or paper bark glued to a bumper bar, much of Rachel’s work is experimental. As a side project Rachel also dabbles in Photography with the majority of her pictures taken from her travels around the world. Rachel studied a Bachelor of Fine Arts Studies at the University of Western Sydney before moving on to complete her Honours degree in Visual Arts – Object and Design at Sydney College of the Arts in association with the University of Sydney. She has had a number of exhibitions across Sydney and London, including the group exhibition Grounded Light at The Brick Lane Gallery in London and most recently at the Blacktown City Art Prize where Bumper Bark was Highly Commended in Sculpture. Rachel has become the young aspiring artist she is today thanks to her experiences as a traveller and love of the natural world, and her art celebrates the wonders and beauty of nature in a man-made world.
