Ardian Radovicka

Visual Art – Toronto

Ardian Radovicka was born in Tirana, Albania in 1960. He loved to draw since an early age. 10 years old he started to take some informal studio classes with well-known artists. From that time on he worked extensively on portrait, figure, and landscape. In 1974 he presented a three figures artwork titled "Return with Victory" in the exhibition of 30th anniversary of the Albania Liberation. Only 14 years old he won an award from the jury of local art association. Later on, this painting was acquired from a local museum. In 1978 he presented a three figures artwork titled "Faith" in the exhibition regarding 100 anniversaries of Lidhja e Prizrenit. This oil painting decorated for many years an education institution in his hometown. He had done (3) three solo exhibition and participated in many group exhibitions in Albania. In 2006 he immigrated with his family to Canada; however, he never stopped his artistic activity or walk away from visual arts. He lives and works in Toronto, Ontario. In 2012 he commemorated the Albania 100th anniversary of independence and participates with three oil paintings (landscapes) in the art show organized from Albanian-Canadian Association. In 2016 he became member of Don Valley Art Club, Toronto, Ontario and participated on 10 Art Shows since then. He loves being part of art community and embrace it. In 2018 he participated many times in Art Exhibitions organized from Artusiasm Gallery. On September 18, 2018 he was invited from Art Battle Toronto to participate in this well-known international competition. He won the first round and went to the final round. The event organizers have invited him to participate for the second time on November 20, 2018. The third time is for April 19, 2022. He organized a group exhibition titled "Inspiration of Albanian-Canadian Artists" at Artusiasm Gallery to celebrate together the roots of Albanian Culture on November 16, 2018. In this exhibition participated 22 Albanian talented artists from Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Ontario and presented their emotions and love for art through more than 90 artworks. He organized a group exhibition titled “Eagle’s Journey” at Etobicoke Gallery inside Civic Centre on March 1, 2020. This exhibition was a real success of 19 painters and sculptors from GTA and Nova Scotia that exhibited very beautiful 80 artworks. He organized last group exhibition titled “Art without borders” at Assembly Hall Gallery, Toronto on June 22, 2023. This exhibition was another success of Albanian Canadian Artists (15 artists from GTA) that presented 60 artworks. In addition, during 2023 he participated successfully to another four International Awards, first one “Master’s in Venice” on April, second one “Michelangelo” in Florence on June, third on San Remo and fourth one on Montecarlo on September. They have been really beautiful experiences for him, especially the 1st Sanremo Biennial with about 500 artworks by artists from 40 different countries around the words. The Milan ArtExpo Gallery organized the Montecarlo Biennale on September 23 and there I was honored with high international Award “Oscar in Creativity” for oil painting “Emerald Waves”. His preferences are: oil on canvas (portrait, figure and landscape). He loves to paint waves in the ocean or reflections of trees in river valleys. Also loves to paint a character portrait as well. He loves the quote of Van Gogh “I feel there is nothing more artistic than loving people".
