Photography – Houston

I look at the world through a lens and sometimes that lens creates something beautiful--other times it reveals the truth. Growing up in an artistic family, both of my grandfathers were photographers, so at a young age I was taught how to see the world through an artistic eye and always question what was in front of me. The beginning of my photography journey really began when I was 14 while I learned how to develop my own film. I will never forget those long school days hiding in the dark room and smelling like sulfur. My first true love was Macro Photography--I love getting up close and personal with my subjects and capturing the 'small worlds' that most people tend to take for granted and/or not even notice. Over time my style and focus has changed drastically from Macro, Film, B&W, E-Media, Painting with Light, Landscapes, Food, etc. I have always loved to challenge myself and leave people surprised when they see my whole body of work. During different periods of my life my collections tend to look like they were almost created by completely different people--I'm not concerned with having an overall "look" for my art, but being able to capture anything I want, no matter the genre and still have it be an exceptional piece is my goal. I am constantly changing and I want my work to reflect my ever changing personality. I am also a writer, poet and painter.
