Ranita Hollinshed
Performing Art – Seattle
Ranita Hollinshed is a dancer of over 10 years training primarily in hip hop. At the age of 12 Ranita took her first dance class at Westlake Dance Center in Seattle, WA. Although she was the youngest in the class and had trouble keeping up she continued to show up and take classes from various teachers. At the age of 15 Ranita auditioned and made her high school dance team Shorecrest Hip Hop in 2012. She knew she found her passion in dance when she would come home from practice and head straight to the dance studio for more. In 2017, Ranita decided to take a break from dance to focus on work and her future. By the end of August 2018 she realized dance was supposed to be her future and began taking classes at Westlake Dance Center again. Aside from hip hop she now trains in contemporary, jazzfunk, commerical dance, jazz and heels every so often. She is a part of new street style dance company, Rythmetic Progressions where she trains in street hip hop, House, locking, popping, breaking and waacking. Her personal style consists of hard hitting, popping and smooth isolation's. Ranita's long term goal is to never stop training. She sees herself constantly training in new cities as well as being a trainer herself. She hopes to one day own multiple advanced dance training academies for hungry dancers that want to be nothing but the best.
