Raymond Francis John

Visual Art – Phoenix

The visionary behind Raymond Francis John is me, artistic designer Ray Van Woelderen. I was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin to Dutch immigrants and also spent time in California and Arizona where I currently live in Phoenix. I attended James Madison Memorial High School in Madison and then went on to major in art at Madison Area Technical College, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Moorpark College in California. While at Moorpark, he studied under professors from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. As an artist and designer of logos, posters, ads, T-shirts and billboards, I have been involved in the creative world my whole life. I also have had logos and posters published in two graphic designs eBooks by David E. Carter: Logos 2 and Posters 1 from brightbooks.com, unfortunately they discontinued the site. In addition to my artistic endeavors, my background in sports has led the way to positions as a director/coach for youth and high school track & field and football programs. I have also owned athletic apparel businesses. Other occupations have included working as a personal trainer, hotel auditor, dishwasher, bartender, outdoor pool cleaner, warehouse manager, security guard and a General Manager of three restaurants/bars in Wisconsin and Scottsdale, Arizona. I had always been able to apply my art and design skills to all of these also.
