“Where's the battle fought?” If you are California's own Red Fist Revolution, the answer is simple: on stage! Taking musical influences from bands such as System of a Down, Muse, and Korn, creator Ben Stewart (known for his work with hard rock band Conspiracy of Thought) is bringing a fully 4-D audio-visual experience to the stage in The Fall of Goliath. This Revolutionary Rock-Opera combines elements of live music, video storytelling, and the pageantry one would expect in a Broadway musical. The music is catchy and diverse, ranging from punk-rock to acoustic ballads, from techno and metal to funk-rock anthems. The performance is geared towards audience interaction; Participants are encouraged to sing, clap, and stomp along with the Red Fist Revolution. Needless to say, this is truly something new and exciting in today's music scene.
This captivating and timely story has served not only to provide the musical foundation for an extremely ambitious and well-produced concept album and rock opera, but has captured the imagination of the film industry as well. In September of 2010, Stewart and co-producer Tim Wilkinson, decided to take this project to the next level. The video production team of Kevin Lyons and Ivan “Cracka-Jack” Miller (Nothing More Than Light video team) were brought on board to bring the story to life as a series of episodic web broadcasts. Together the whole team began the process of creating a film concept, designing a look for the broadcasts, finding a shoot location, and eventually an actress (Debra Harrison-Lowe) to play the main news anchor, Rina Dongal. In January of 2011 the team filmed at ShutterStories in Riverside, CA and the Goliath Global Network became a reality. The videos have been debuted online as a lead-up to the album’s release, and are an integral part in the live performance of The Fall of Goliath.
