Visual Art – New Orleans
I love the challenge of abstract art. Finding balance in the composition with simple colors and shapes often trying alternative techniques to apply (mostly) acrylic paints to a variety of materials including canvas, wood and plastics. I enjoy creating unique textures, and each piece is created with the intention of hanging on my walls in my home. Over the past 30+ years I have learned a lot from various instructors but often find myself throwing all of that out the window in order to make something special. I want viewers to just "get it" without asking what it is."Explanation kills art" is my belief. I want you to take a piece home and hang it wherever and however you like so I don't sign my works on the front. I feel I have to go create something so I can get it out of my head and make room for more ideas. Ideas don't stop coming, but my walls are now full so it's time to let some more go ~
