Rikki Sneddon

Visual Art – Minneapolis

I am twenty five and I am living in central Minnesota. I create the majority of my Art in my home studio. I began focusing on painting about three years ago after editing my creative pursuits and never looked back. I opened my shop Sneddon Studios on Etsy and in August 2012 it was discovered by Timmery Turner of the Sugar Art and Fashion Show. She then invited me to participate in their production for New York City Fashion Week. I was able to send two of my original paintings and they were shown at the Cellar Bar in the Bryant Park Hotel. Timmery purchased both of the pieces for her personal collection. Due to my exposure from the event I was honored to receive an article in the Pope County Tribune. I was also recently featured on a Postcards segment about Alexandria Area Artists on the local television station PPT. Currently my work focuses on painting custom portraits for collectors as well as my current spring collection titled Bloom. Bloom is a series of portraits and mixed media collages. They are full of color and intrigue. The subjects and titles to the works were chosen to evoke beauty and a sense of travel and adventure, the burst of excitement for discovery. The Bloom collection made its debut at my solo Art Exhibition this spring.
