Rivers Monroe has emerged as one of Philadelphia\'s most popular new bands and is supported by an increasingly fervent local and national fan-base. Defined by their energetic, driving, mainstream brand of music, flavored with a fresh, new, pop/rock and pop/punk mixture, they have captured the attention of countless listeners. With the release of their highly anticipated self-titled album, RM has exceeded all expectations with their collection of hook-driven and inspiring songs, collaborating and recording with six-time Grammy winning producer Glenn Barratt of MorningStar Studio. The Philadelphia-based quintet began when keyboardist/vocalist, Mat Rivers, joined long-time friend and lead-singer Mike Monroe. The two singer/songwriters teamed up with guitarist, Doc, bassist, Kirby and drummer, Dan, to fill out their new sound. Their poppy hooks, passionate lyrics, and enthusiastic performances have landed them a number of sponsorships including: Coca-Cola, Sunoco, and others. The band has shared the stage with Jennifer Paige, Ben Folds, Guster, AllStar Weekend, and A Silent Film, as well as landing performances at the Radio 104.5 2012 Winter Jam with fun. and New Found Glory, Radio 104.5\'s 5th birthday show with Incubus, Angels & Airwaves, Cake, Flogging Molly, and The Fearless Friends Tour. The band has received major radio airplay, including Philly’s Radio 104.5, 93.3 WMMR, and 93.7 WSTW. They\'ve had multiple placements on Versus, NASCAR, Fox Sports, and Speed TV Networks.
